Do you ever feel too many days never get off to a good start? Well, here are some tips to help start your day well.
Steps
-
1
Don't overdo the night before. Keep the night simple and normal.

2
Practice good sleep habits -- disconnect electronics and keep the bedroom for sex and sleep.
-
3
Lay out your clothes for the morning and make sure all are clean and ready to wear. Pack your briefcase or purse, charge your electronics.
-
4
Make a list of what you have to do the next day,(including things to take with you) then forget about it while you go to sleep. Indulge in a sleep ritual that makes you sleepy: reading, meditating or a bath.
-
5
In the morning, give yourself plenty of time. While
still under the covers, move around to get any creaky joints moving.
Stretch and breathe deeply to get rid of cobwebs in your brain.
-
6
Eat a nutritious breakfast at home (cheaper and more nutritious). Coffee or tea is fine, but add a glass of plain water to get you hydrated.
-
7
If you like music, crank up some energizing tunes in your ear buds while you dress. (Others may still be asleep.)
-
8
Make your bed as soon as you get out of it -- that signals the day has started.
-
9
Check the previous night's list to make sure you leave with everything you need.
-
10
Leave the house well-groomed. It shows you have self-esteem.
-
11
Leave the house with time to spare. Running five minutes early is a lot less stressful than running five minutes late.
-
12
Smile and say "good morning" to people you pass on the street.
Tips
- If you are always running late, you create anxiety for yourself and
others. Give yourself a break and get up ten minutes earlier. If you
have to go to bed ten minutes earlier, that's fine.
- If you are not a morning person, do as much as possible the night before.
- Walk briskly to get your body awake and moving.
Warnings
- Morning comes every day, so figure out what works for you and keep your routine. Give thanks for the new day
